Roots (Amos)
Amos Joiner was born in Simpkinsville (Monroe County), Alabama, in 1904, to Louis and Victoria Joiner.  He is beleived to be the youngest of six children; with older siblings named Louis, Jr., Sarah, Herman, Lula, and Eliza.   

According to U.S. Census Records, Amos' father Louis is beleived to have been born in 1869, in Old Texas (Monroe County), Alabama and mother Victoria (place of birth unknown) was born in 1871.  His grand father is belived to be Ewell Joiner, a farmer who was born in 1832, in Old Texas (Monroe County), Alabama.

At some point in his early adulthood, he relocated to Baldwin County, Alabama, and married Margaret Jemison.  They had seven children; Willie, Annie Bell, Rosie Mae, Amos Jr., Louis, Laura Louisa, and Ernest.

And so began the legacy we now share!
